TPA Realty Services to Develop Highland 75 Near Cartersville
3/21/2009
Johns Creek, GA — TPA Realty Services, LLC is partnering with the Bartow-Cartersville Joint Development Authority to develop Highland 75, a 707-acre mixed-use corporate/industrial park located about a mile east of Exit 296 on Interstate 75 and half-way between Atlanta and Chattanooga, Tenn.
Highland 75, which is scheduled for build out in 10 years, marks TPA Realty’s sixth master planned multi-use development. “Cartersville/Bartow has a long legacy of pro-business leadership that extends to today. From work force to quality of life, this is a great location to attract industry and grow jobs,” said John Watson, Principal, at TPA
The site lies 60 miles south of the Chattanooga’s recently announced Volkswagen plant, provides easy access to Cobb County’s intermodal yards, and is an hour’s drive from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Offering 20 to 100-plus acre sites, the development is suited for manufacturing/distribution, industrial, corporate headquarters, technology and R&D uses.
TPA Realty recently entered into a public-private partnership with the Bartow-Cartersville Joint Development Authority to develop, market and sell the land located between Cass-Pine Log Road and Cass-White Road in White, Ga. While TPA will develop the property according to an approved master plan and protective covenants that have been the hallmark of its award-winning developments, the Joint Development Authority will retain oversight and assist in infrastructure development for the project.
“When we acquired this property we shared a vision to create a first class regional location to recruit industry and jobs. With the addition of our development partner, TPA, we are that much closer to making that vision reality,” said James Jarrett, Chairman of the Joint Development Authority
Highland 75, formerly known as Cartersville-Bartow County Corporate Park. All utilities to the site will be available by summer ’09 and a new divided median parkway will be complete early fall 2009.
“The Highland 75 project was launched in response to a growing industrial interest in the area. Bartow County is currently home to more than 180 manufacturers, 17 of which are international companies,” says Melinda Lemmon, Executive Director for the Cartersville-Bartow County Department of Economic Development.
Beverage House Inc., a specialty tea producer, recently leased 100,000 square feet in the southern end of the county. Toyo Tire is expanding its recently constructed manufacturing and warehouse distribution facility, which currently employs 400. Yanmar America Corp., is moving its North American corporate headquarters to its facility in Adairsville, located 15 miles northwest of Highland 75, where it will start production on a line of Club Cadet tractors. Yanmar plans to add 240,000 square feet to this 220,000 square-foot facility.
